Tommy Gossett Charges from 29th to Lead 37 Laps, Finishes Strong 4th at Michigan in eNASCAR Coca-Cola Qualifying Series

Tommy Gossett turned in one of the most dramatic drives of the 2026 eNASCAR Coca-Cola
Qualifying Series on Tuesday night at Michigan International Speedway, rocketing from a
29th-place starting spot to lead 37 laps before crossing the line in fourth.

The Round 2 race of Segment 3 — contested in the full Cup Car package and marking the 10th
event of the overall season — lived up to Michigan’s reputation for high-speed pack racing and
early chaos. A massive multicar incident on the opening lap shuffled the field and eliminated
several contenders, but Gossett, driving the No. 88 car for his Ryco Performance Sponsored
team, threaded the needle cleanly and emerged unscathed in 13th place by the time the caution
flew.

From there, Tommy showed the patience and pace that have defined his rapid rise in the
sim-racing ranks. Gossett methodically picked off cars on the long Michigan straights, using
clean air and timely pushes from drafting partners to move inside the top 10 by lap 18. He took
the lead for the first time on lap 29 and would go on to lead a race-high 37 laps. “Man, that first
lap was wild — I just kept it on the bottom and hoped for the best,” Gossett said after the race.
“Once things settled down I could see the car had really good long-run speed. I told the crew we
were going to be fine if we could stay out of trouble. Huge credit to the guys on the pit box for
calling me through that wreck.”

Gossett surrendered the lead during a late race restart, but stayed in the hunt. The fourth-place
finish was still a massive statement when coupled with the amount of time Tommy spent out
front.

The result vaults Gossett back inside the top 30 in the season-long standings, putting him firmly
back in the mix for Free Agency as Segment 3 continues. With the Qualifying Series serving as
the direct path into the premier eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series later this year, every
position matters — and Gossett just reminded the field why he belongs at the front.

Next up for the Qualifying Series is a return toThe Lone Star State, but for one night in
Michigan, Tommy Gossett proved that starting deep in the field is no obstacle when the car —
and the driver — are dialed in.
